#MultiversX is a distributed blockchain network for next-gen applications. Decentralized via 3000+ nodes, scalable through sharding, fast, secure & green.
The evolving landscape of agent commerce fundamentally requires a universal foundation of shared trust. MX-8004 is designed to deliver exactly this essential framework. By utilizing this technology, systems can rapidly execute counterparty filtering at machine speed. Moreover, it facilitates verifiable delegation among different agents and helps build dynamic marketplaces where an individual agent's reputation seamlessly accompanies them wherever they operate.
Here is a complete overview of everything that happened over the past week in the MultiversX ecosystem.
Let us start by reviewing the latest network numbers. The main MultiversX blockchain is currently facilitating 604M transactions across 9.20M total accounts, with 14.5M staked. Over on the xPortal application, the platform has successfully grown to accommodate 2.5M+ users, and 100k+ of those users currently stake $EGLD. Additionally, xExchange is maintaining a $4.66M TVL alongside a 1M USD 7d Volume.
Moving on to foundational updates, the official MvX State of the Foundation Report has been released to the public. To help put the report into perspective, Beniamin and Lucian shared their personal thoughts on the matter. Looking back at recent progress, @CodeMultiversX also published a breakdown of the major developments that have occurred since '24.
There were plenty of exciting technical advancements as well. A recent update titled Substrate, Not Standards explored how the agent commerce stack starts at the rails. For our developer community, mxpy v11.4.0 was rolled out, introducing custom HTTP headers for proxy and faucet requests. We also saw a helpful reminder demonstrating that it is easy to set up an MvX Validator. On that note, a new high of 3,237 validators was officially recorded by @chainspect_app. You can find even more builder news in the weekly #multiversxtech update.
In community news, @andreimmarinica celebrated 8 years on a mission. We are also proud to announce that MvX has sponsored the HSE 2026 high school engineering projects, supporting the next generation of builders. Meanwhile, fans should keep a close eye on the fact that @veropay_ro is cooking up something new.
Finally, we would like to showcase our ecosystem highlights for the week. A massive thank you goes out to @ThePalmTreeNW, @stakenest_io, @HG_EGLD, @BubuMVX, @hellerbtc, @alain_trades, @andreimmarinica, @scribblesvc, @SasuRobert, and @ansschweiger for their continued contributions.
Mainnet has officially surpassed the remarkable milestone of 600 million transactions. Our fully sharded architecture is currently powered by a robust community of 3,200+ active validators. At the same time, the network remains incredibly accessible, with the cost of a simple transfer sitting at ~$0.0002. Building on this incredible momentum, Supernova is the upcoming phase on our roadmap.
Welcome to your weekly recap of everything happening within the MultiversX ecosystem.
There have been major advancements on the network recently, highlighted by six AI commerce protocols officially going live on MultiversX. There was also an insightful look into why Supernova serves as the agentic settlement layer. On the security and testing fronts, the Guardian protocol layer feature now introduces dual-signature enforcement, and SpaceCraft has successfully rolled out its new Chain Simulator.
The network continues to build strong momentum, with MvX securing the #3 spot across the entire blockchain industry for developer productivity. In addition, purchasing and managing assets is even easier now that $EGLD is fully live on FinchPay. Anyone interested in the finer development details from the past few days can catch up on the newest #multiversxtech weekly release.
We also want to recognize our recent ecosystem highlights, featuring fantastic updates and contributions from @Sheltersfinance, @XoxnoNetwork, @ColombiaStaking, @ThePalmTreeNW, @foxsy_ai, @Adri1Shelters, and @LonginOfficial.
Turning to the latest network statistics, the broader MultiversX blockchain has now registered 9.19M accounts and processed an impressive 600M transactions, alongside 14.7M staked. Mobile and decentralized finance metrics remain remarkably strong as well. The @xPortalApp currently boasts 2.5M+ users, with 100k+ users choosing to stake $EGLD. Finally, the @xExchangeApp continues to maintain a $4.33M TVL and recently recorded a 1.57M USD 7d Volume.
Endlessly scaling an L1 network is simply not a practical option. To manage this limitation, transaction execution is typically transitioned over to rollups. However, this strategy inevitably introduces a fresh challenge in the form of a data availability bottleneck. On top of that, the necessary window for fraud proofs pushes transaction finality out to approximately one week. Transitioning to validity proofs is the natural solution to circumvent this lengthy delay, though that approach immediately brings up the next major hurdle regarding prover costs.
The primary challenge we face is that an L1 network cannot be scaled infinitely. To resolve this limitation, execution processes are transitioned off-chain by utilizing rollups. While this is an effective workaround, it introduces a noticeable bottleneck regarding data availability. Additionally, the necessary fraud proof window extends transaction finality to approximately one week. Shifting to validity proofs presents a viable alternative to reduce that timeline, although this approach introduces a subsequent complication regarding prover costs.
We are incredibly excited to share that Battle Net has officially reached a historic milestone of 1,000,000,000 completed transactions. Alongside this monumental achievement, our live demonstration today successfully showcased an outstanding processing speed of 120,000 TPS. The future looks exceptionally bright, so get ready as Supernova is officially making its way to MultiversX.
Here is a look back at the latest developments and highlights from the past week across the MultiversX ecosystem. It has been an eventful few days, prominently featuring the integration of the Machine Payments Protocol from Stripe directly into MultiversX. Network activity also hit a massive milestone as Battle Net officially exceeded 750,000,000 transactions.
The ecosystem saw numerous technical and competitive updates recently. The Battle of Nodes series moved forward with Guild Wars #3 and #4, alongside Validator Challenge #8. Furthermore, Agent Arena was introduced and has officially gone live on Battle Net. The network also demonstrated tremendous development strength in the Who's Actually Building? tracker, logging 171K commits to secure the #6 spot in the blockchain space.
