Probably controversial but I want to see more tokens that release as 100% diluted (or with a short vest / lock) that are 80-100% owned by team / investors For example, say I have a business that sells soda and makes $1M of profits and its owned 80% by me and 20% by my investors If I go public I don't dilute my business by 50% and donate it to people that drink my soda... I just create a public market for my shares which have value because of my profits Why is it that for my token to be "accepted" I have to give away the business? Not trying to run a dao or have a decentralized soda business... just think tokens are way better, cheaper, and easier to manage

How have none of these on chain stock / stocks for perps platforms not gone all in on making the best liquid market for trading circle on chain? Best I can find is like 400k of OI and negative funding

I don’t think the takeaway from plasma success is “ICOs are so back” It’s more - there’s tons of demand for tether adjacent products as we’ve never been able to buy into them and circle is trading at over $20b cap - its hard to find good stable yields on size that last more than a few weeks. Assuming 2bn deposits and 2bn fdv on plasma this works out to 30% apr! - exploit risk is extremely low as the deposits go into a veda vault which goes into aave (i think). Other options this safe pay like 6-10% apr. - The people want to buy good projects at good valuations. Plasma is rightfully hyped and has the space excited. They could’ve raised a vc round at 1b+ but instead went with an open and fair model at cheaper. ICO mania was because they could sell tokens to the public for higher caps than the vcs. Circle at 25b 2 weeks ago ct was screaming 4b was overvalued and it’s worthless because all the revenue goes to coinbase and binance Maybe more defi apps should be going ipo instead of ico, seems tradfi is more willing to bid our stuff than we are

Hyperliquid previously rewarded users for being users and not industrial farmers (nerfd sybils, huge points to purr, etc.) The team likely knows we're all prefarming this "season 2" by doing anything we can on the evm In this case... is it worth making the points distribution a surprise? I still wonder if its even worth doing a s2 at all? Seems to be growing / doing well without it Why not just give the apps a chunk of hype and let them emit to their users / sort out growth? They have billions in hype to spend, being focused and slow with it would make sense

Some notes on @CabalVIP / @initia vip bribes as the product starts to roll out - The timing is good as previously to unstake enshrined liq there was a 20d period with no yields... but because the initia team is changing reward rates they're paying yields during the unstake... so theres no 0 yield period to migrate into cabal - Depositing Init is not a lock, its a convert, so if you want to get out its only by the AMM price. Because of our ptsd with cvxCRV we'll probably be depositing usdc/init LP because that's just staking - Deposits should get the same yields as enshrined liq + bribes so it seems like a no brainer for LPs unless they want to negotiate their own bribes or vote based on vibes - Cabal takes 6% of staking yields + 10% of bribes as fees note: dcf cap seeded cabal and initia

Another thing @berachain inherited from ohm that most don't realize is the "time in > timing" concept Chart looks like we're down bad... but remember how we had to account for rebases? In bera land products like oriBGT are farming 400-500% APR in more bgt So if the bera price is down 20% this month... does it matter if I farmed 40% more tokens this month? note: dcf cap holds oriBGT and seeded berachain

wasn't the timeline saying this should be a 0 because coinbase gets so many fees?

Some early thoughts as an @initia user / investor - PA has been great. Airdroppers really sold too early. Probably a controversial take but L1 airdrops should be extremely small as there's nothing to do before mainnet... Testnet users are not real users, they are bot / human farms. - LP farming has been amazing... currently 170% APR paid in more init for an 80/20 pool which means low IL and low usdc needed... The ~20d unstaking period is good because its unattractive to mercenary farmers since the hedge is hard, and short term holders don't want to wait a month to get out and sell - Would recommend giving Kamigotchi / Yominet a try to feel how cool the tech is. You bridge eth to the chain for gas... Every game action is a tx and it feels extremely fast... and it's great for the team as they earn all the gas fees with almost no expenses - There hasn't been as many apps as other chain launches but thats expected. Here each "app" isn't just an app but an entire chain of its own. - With movement surrounded by drama, Initia is feeling like the next big move chain - Emissions are lower than most think... 20% of supply is for enshrined liquidity (usdc/init LP).... 20% of supply for VIP... but all the VIP rewards are 1y vested or faster if you LP with them. - VIP is off to a good start but it's hard for voters to decide who to emit to. Need to see cabal go live and bribes start to flow. For apps I expect the bribe : emission ratio to be really cheap as there's little competition so it's worth being aggressive early... - Some really good high APR farms for folks willing to do the work and earn the vip rewards. Check out echelon loops on usdc, milkyway for init, and play kamigotchi (saw a thread where someone said they made 1/3rd of the kami back in init rewards in 1 week) note: dcf cap seeded and is farming $init

One of the biggest winners from the eth pump was @ether_fi Unlike the competition, they clearly are showing the market the token matters They're using revs to buyback the token and distro it to stakers (sETHFI) Buybacks on chain so there's no question on if they're happening or not $26M in revs last year and expecting to get to $100M run rate this year note: dcf cap seeded etherfi
