Bullish spike strategy: First, check if the major coins like BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB are up that day. If they are, look at the bullish spikes in the last two or three days for the first alert on coins. Check their 1-hour candles, 4-hour candles to see if they are in a bottom fluctuation, and for the 8-hour and 1-day candles, ensure they are at historical lows. If all checks out, look at the 24-hour trading volume. If the volume is low, it’s easy to manipulate; watch for a volume surge. If the volume surges over 5 times, that means big money is stepping in. At this point, after spotting a bullish spike, wait for a pullback to find a position to scale in, or just go long directly. Since it’s the first spike in two to three days, the risk is low and the win rate is high, especially for those coins that haven’t spiked in a month and suddenly do—those have the chance to skyrocket. Bearish spike strategy: If a coin is among the top gainers, having rallied for a day or two with strong bullish momentum, and suddenly there’s a bearish spike, this marks a turning point between bulls and bears. The bullish forces are being pressured for the first time by the bears. Look for a pullback to scale in short or go directly short. In these cases, the win rate for shorting is higher. If the coin has only rallied for half a day before the bearish spike, it’s harder to predict; it could either be a shakeout for a second rally or it could drop straight down. In this scenario, shorting doesn’t have the same win rate as shorting after a two-day rally followed by a spike. Pin bar spike strategy: If a coin is among the top gainers and has rallied for a day or two, and then suddenly there’s a sharp upward spike, it indicates a short-term surge of bearish liquidations. The candle that spikes makes it hard for the whales to push the price up again because all the liquidations have occurred. Many meme coins will spike and then crash hard, but some may dip briefly and then rise before a significant drop. At this moment, scale in short around the tip of the spike; the win rate will be much higher.
