Where we are: $BTC ~$83.5K (-0.3%) | $ETH ~$2,508 (-0.7%) Bitcoin recovered to $84K after briefly dipping to $81K, as buyers defended support into the print.
Consensus expectations (not official results): 📊 Headline CPI: +0.6% m/m (Aug: +0.4%), about 3.6%-3.7% y/y (Aug: 3.4%) 📊 Core CPI: +0.2% m/m (Aug: +0.3%), about 2.5% y/y
Why it matters: the Fed raised rates 25 bps in September, and the market-implied odds of an October 28 hike are around 18%.
Scenarios: 🟢 Below expectations (especially core): relief, and BTC could retest $84K+ ⚪ In line: energy explains the headline, and markets focus on core 🔴 Above expectations: hike odds rise, the dollar firms, and $81K support is at risk
A stat to know: in the last 15 CPI releases, BTC was higher 24 hours later in 12, and when inflation came in below expectations, higher in 8 of 9. Small sample, no guarantee.
💥 $672M liquidated overnight, then Bitcoin snaps back. What is the market telling us before CPI?
Overnight, $BTC fell from about $84.2K, broke $83.2K and $82.4K, touched ~$81K, then bounced hard.
The damage: 🔻 $672M liquidated in 24h, with $586M (~87%) in longs 🔻 BOME -30%, ENA and NEAR -13%
Where we are now: $BTC ~$83.6K (-0.7%) | $ETH ~$2,522 (-1.7%)
The paradox: options traders price only about a 2% move (~$1.6K) for the CPI window, yet leveraged longs just got flushed again. Calm pricing, fragile positioning.

🇹🇭 Thailand opens the door to Bitcoin and Ether ETFs: what changes on Oct 16
Thailand’s SEC has finalized 11 rules allowing local asset managers to launch spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The framework takes effect Friday, Oct 16.
The key rules: ✅ Only $BTC and $ETH are eligible at first ✅ Funds must be passive and keep at least 80% average exposure to one asset ✅ Assets must be held by SEC-licensed digital asset custodians ✅ No margin loans from brokers to buy crypto ETFs ✅ Thai mutual and private funds can now buy local crypto ETFs, not just foreign ones
Important: Oct 16 is the date the rules start, not a product launch. No issuers, tickers or listing dates have been announced yet.
Why it matters: 🔹 Thailand reportedly has one of the highest crypto ownership rates in the world 🔹 A regulated, exchange-listed route could bring in investors who avoid direct crypto trading 🔹 It adds to a global trend: US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in about $6.3B in Q3, though recent weeks have seen outflows
What I’m watching: wh$ich asset managers file first, and whether demand shows up in fund flows.
Will local ETFs pull more investors into crypto, or just shift existing demand? 👇
⏳ Crypto jumps into CPI week: 3 scenarios for Wednesday’s inflation print
Where we are (Monday): $BTC ~$84.1K (+1.3%) | $ETH ~$2,571 (+2.8%) Bitcoin has pushed above $83.5K, the resistance it was stuck under last week, and Ether is leading the move.
The setup: 🔹 The Fed hiked in September, its first hike since 2023 🔹 Wednesday’s CPI (Oct 14) is the last reading before the Oct 27-28 Fed meeting, with headline inflation expected near 3.7% 🔹 Spot Bitcoin ETFs were still down about $679M over five days into the weekend, so the rally hasn’t yet been matched by strong fund inflows
Three scenarios: 🟢 Softer CPI: hike fears ease, and BTC could extend toward $87K ⚪ In line: consolidation above $83.5K, with that level now acting as support 🔴 Hotter CPI: the move could reverse, and a loss of $83.5K puts $80K back in play
Also this week: PPI on Thursday and Thailand’s crypto ETF rules on Oct 16.
My plan: respect the rally, but keep leverage low until the print. Data days can flush both sides.
📅 Week ahead: CPI could decide the next move for crypto
Where we are (Sunday): $BTC ~$83.1K (+0.3%) | $ETH ~$2,501 (+0.3%) | $BNB ~$748 (-0.1%)
After falling four days in a row last week to a one-month low near $80K, the market has stabilized, and the weekend has been quiet.
Why CPI matters: 🔹 The market expects the Fed to hold at its Oct 27-28 meeting, with the odds of an October hike low 🔹 Some Fed officials have still floated another hike before year-end if inflation stays high 🔹 A soft CPI could lift risk assets, while a hot one could trigger another selloff
Also on my radar: 🌍 Thailand’s crypto ETF rules start Oct 16 🏦 Moscow Exchange plans direct BTC/ETH trading from Dec 1 📈 Tokenized stocks keep expanding, with Securitize planning Apple, NVIDIA and Microsoft tokens on Solana
Levels: BTC is testing resistance at $83K-$83.5K. A clean break puts $87K back in play, while last week’s low near $80K is the key support.
My plan: stay light on leverage into the data, and let the CPI print set direction.
What’s your CPI trade: hedge, wait, or buy the dip? 👇
🚨 $86M reportedly drained from hardware wallets: what every holder should know
Ledger says it is investigating reports of stolen funds tied to devices sold through a third-party reseller in Southeast Asia. The $86M figure comes from an on-chain investigator, and Ledger has not confirmed the amount or the cause.
What we know: ✅ There is no confirmed evidence Ledger’s own systems were compromised ✅ Ledger asked the reseller to pause all sales and shipments ✅ Anyone who bought from that seller in the last 90 days was told not to set the device up ✅ Those who already did were told to move funds to a new device with a new seed phrase
How to protect yourself: 1️⃣ Buy hardware wallets only from the manufacturer or a verified authorized seller 2️⃣ A genuine device never comes with a recovery phrase already written down. Don’t use one if it does 3️⃣ Generate your own seed phrase during setup, and never type it into a website or app 4️⃣ Be wary of deals that look too cheap, and avoid marketplaces and second-hand units
The lesson: self-custody is only as safe as the supply chain behind your device. A security story like this fits this week’s theme: protect yourself before problems start.
Do you buy direct from the manufacturer, or have you used a reseller? 👇
10/10 turns one: crypto’s worst day, by the numbers 🕯️
One year ago today, $19B+ in leveraged positions were liquidated in about a day. Here’s how far the market has traveled:
📈 Oct 6, 2025: $BTC hit its record at about $126.2K 💥 Oct 10, 2025: a tariff shock triggered the crash 📉 Jul 1, 2026: BTC bottomed near $58.6K, more than half off the peak 🔄 Today: BTC is around $82.8K, roughly a third below the record and up about 40% from the low
Then vs now: ⚠️ Open interest is up again, rising about 4% in a week, similar to the pre-crash move. Analysts say there’s no evidence another $19B event is imminent ⚠️ Oil is above $100 and diesel above $6, adding macro stress ✅ ETF demand has been strong, with about $2.6B in September inflows
My takeaways: 1️⃣ Leverage is the real risk, not the date 2️⃣ Recoveries take longer than crashes 3️⃣ Size positions so one bad day can’t end your trading
ETH’s market value is under one-fifth of BTC’s, so Ether longs were hit roughly 6x harder.
Where we are now: $BTC ~$82.5K (-0.4%), after touching ~$80.9K on Thursday $ETH ~$2,498 (-2.7%), still just under the $2,500 level
Levels I’m watching: 🟢 BTC support: ~$80.9K (Thursday’s low) 🔴 BTC resistance: ~$83K-$83.5K 🔴 ETH resistance: $2,500, then $2,560-$2,600
Two views: 🐂 Some analysts say the bottom is in, and BitMine keeps buying ETH 🐻 Altcoin ETF inflows are fading, oil is high, and the Fed meets Oct 27-28
Timing: tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of the 10/10 crash ($19B+ liquidated). A flush this size the day before is a reminder of how fast leverage unwinds.
One year ago this Saturday: the 10/10 crash 🕯️ On Oct 10, 2025, $19B+ in leveraged positions were liquidated in about a day, hitting 1.6M traders. $BTC is ~$82.5K after another flush this week. Reminder: leverage turns dips into forced exits. How has your risk approach changed? 👇 #BTC #CryptoNews Not financial advice.
Oil-driven inflation worries and rising yields are weighing on risk assets. With the Fed on Oct 27-28 and the 10/10 anniversary Friday, I'm cautious on leverage.
Bitcoin has bounced from this morning's low near $82.7K but remains below the $87.4K high. Ethereum is weaker, with $ETH spot ETFs seeing $202M in outflows on Oct 6.
Key levels: 🟢 BTC support: ~$83K-$83.5K, being tested now 🔴 BTC resistance: ~$87.4K
Fear & Greed has cooled to the mid-60s. The Fed meets Oct 27-28, and the 10/10 crash anniversary is this Friday. I'm staying cautious on leverage until we see a clear break either way.

Bitcoin dropped to around $84,000-84,200 today, down roughly 1.3-2.2% — a real pullback, not just noise.
🛢️ What's driving it: Oil prices jumped after reports of attacks on Iranian oil tankers, pushing the US dollar and oil higher — this kind of geopolitical tension typically makes investors pull back from riskier assets like crypto.
📉 Ethereum, Solana, and most major coins are also down today, showing this is a broad market reaction, not a single-coin story.
🌍 Bigger picture: Despite today's dip, Bitcoin's broader trend over recent weeks is still described as intact — this looks like a pullback within a larger uptrend, not a reversal, though that can change.
⚠️ Geopolitical events can move markets fast and unpredictably. Crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
Ethereum is holding near $2,700-2,716 today, relatively calm.
⚙️ Today's big event: Ethereum's "Glamsterdam" upgrade — described as the network's biggest upgrade since "The Merge" — goes live today on Sepolia (the public test network), scheduled for exactly 13:53:36 UTC.
🎯 What it means: This is a test, not the final mainnet launch (that's expected sometime in Q4 2026) — but it's the first real public look at upgrades that will increase how much activity each block can handle.
📊 Market context: Bitcoin is holding around $85,900 (down slightly, rejected near $87,000 again), while the broader Fear & Greed Index actually rose to 73 (Greed) today despite the calm prices.
⚠️ Crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
Bitcoin is holding near $85,000 today, little changed over the past 24 hours.
🏛️ Today's news: The US SEC just approved a rule change allowing the first-ever 3x leveraged Bitcoin ETFs to be listed — giving investors a new, officially regulated way to get amplified exposure to Bitcoin's price moves.
📈 Bigger picture: This follows the SEC separately proposing changes to crypto custody rules this week — regulatory clarity is actively improving.
💰 Bitcoin funds pulled in about $2.5 billion this week, marking the best September in over a decade for inflows.
🎯 BTC briefly climbed above $87,000 earlier this week before settling into this narrower range.
⚠️ Leveraged products carry extra risk, and crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
XRP is trading around $1.4833 today, down 2.61% — even as a real institutional event happened.
🏦 Today's news: A new regional body called "XRP Asia" officially launched at Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul, with two real banks — Woori Bank and Kakao Bank — joining Ripple on stage. The goal is to grow XRP use for cross-border payments across Asia.
📰 Also ahead: A separate XRP-linked company is set to begin trading on Nasdaq on October 8 under ticker "XRPN."
📉 Worth noting: Despite this positive news, the price is down today — a reminder that good news doesn't always move price immediately, and the broader market is soft right now too.
⚠️ Crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
Bitcoin is trading around $85,993 today, up 2.22% — pushing toward the $86K mark!
📈 This comes right after Bitcoin closed its best Q3 in years (up roughly 42-44% over the quarter), and today's gain continues that strong momentum into October.
💰 Crypto funds pulled in $3.55 billion in a single week recently, showing strong institutional interest.
🎯 With this move, BTC is now getting close to the $87K resistance zone that's been watched in recent sessions.
⚠️ Crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
Bitcoin rose as much as 2.4% to $85,594 today, before settling back to around $83,400.
📊 What's driving it: New inflation data (called PCE) came in softer than expected (3%) — this lowered expectations that the Fed will raise interest rates in October, which usually makes investors more willing to buy riskier assets like Bitcoin.
📈 Stocks reacted the same way — the S&P 500 and Nasdaq also rose today on the same news.
🎯 Key levels: $82K–$83K is acting as support, with $85K as the level to watch next.
💰 Despite a recent exchange security scare (Bitget), crypto ETFs still pulled in $2.39 billion this week — institutional demand remains strong.
⚠️ Crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice. $BTC
XRP is up 3.73%, riding strong institutional and network activity.
🗳️ Today's event: Shareholders of a company called Evernorth are voting today (Sept 30) on a merger that would list them on Nasdaq under the ticker "XRPN" — and they'd hold at least 473 million XRP on their balance sheet. If it passes and Nasdaq's conditions are met, this brings a major new institutional holder into the XRP ecosystem.
📈 Real network growth: New accounts on the XRP Ledger jumped 535%, and payment volume rose 894% — genuine usage growth, not just price speculation.
💰 Sustained ETF inflows and whale buying are also backing this move.
🌍 Market context: Bitcoin is holding around $83,300, relatively flat, while broader sentiment sits at 71 (Greed).
⚠️ Crypto is highly volatile — outcomes from votes like this can move price fast either way. Only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
Algorand jumped 14.6% today, trading around $0.1336 — a standout gain while most of the market is falling.
⚙️ What's driving it: Algorand just deployed a real post-quantum upgrade live on its network — this means the blockchain is now built to stay secure even against future quantum computers, a real technical achievement, not just hype.
📊 Real activity behind it: Trading volume hit $197 million, with institutional money rotating into "quantum-resistant" blockchain projects.
🌍 Market context: Bitcoin is down about 1.1% today near $83,000, and most major coins (ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP) are also in the red — so ALGO bucking the trend is meaningful.
⚠️ Crypto is highly volatile — only invest what you can afford to lose. Not financial advice.
