PANews, November 1 — According to Xinhua News Agency, the Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Several Major Issues Concerning Consistently Advancing Full and Rigorous Party Self-Governance, adopted on October 29 at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, calls for a resolute crackdown on corruption carried out using the internet, virtual currencies, cross-border funds, blockchain and other means. The Decision calls for thorough investigations into new forms of corruption and hidden corruption, including expected returns, agreed nominee holdings, “white gloves,” and the “revolving door” between government and business. It also calls for a focus on issues such as collusion between government and business and the penetration of political circles by capital. The Decision also proposes deepening the development of a digital discipline inspection and supervision system, advancing the development of a big data platform for oversight of public power, and intensifying efforts to investigate and handle cross-border corruption cases.
