🧵 The underlying logic of airdrops—many people who “farm” tokens actually haven’t figured it out:
Why would a project team do an airdrop? Three reasons: 1️⃣ Acquire real users (not to make the numbers look good, but to have people actually using the ecosystem) 2️⃣ Decentralized token distribution (regulatory needs: you can’t give everything to the team) 3️⃣ Incentivize early participation (use tokens to trade for attention and time)
So what the project team values most is: ✅ Real usage (not farming volume) ✅ Long-term holding (not selling just because there’s an airdrop) ✅ Diverse interactions (not only doing the bare minimum)
Once you understand this, your “farming” strategy should shift from “brute volume” to “real usage.”

Why does the project team do an air drop? Three reasons: 1️⃣ To get real users (not just to make the numbers look good—it's for the ecosystem to have people using it) 2️⃣ Decentralized token distribution (regulatory requirements: the team can’t get it all) 3️⃣ Incentivizing early participation (using tokens to trade for attention and time)
So what the project team values most is: ✅ Real usage (not volume farming) ✅ Long-term holding (not selling just after the airdrop) ✅ Diverse interactions (not only doing the minimum required)
Once you understand this, your airdrop-farming strategy should shift from "volume farming" to "real usage".

Once you understand this, your token-farming strategy should change from “boosting numbers” to “real usage.”

Why does the project team do an airdrop? Three reasons: 1️⃣ Acquire real users (not just to make the metrics look good—so the ecosystem has people using it) 2️⃣ Decentralized token distribution (regulation requires it: you can’t give everything to the team) 3️⃣ Incentivize early participation (trade tokens for attention and time)
So what the project team cares about most is: ✅ Real usage (not fake volume) ✅ Long-term holding (not “sell right after the airdrop”) ✅ Diverse interactions (not only doing the minimum requirements)
If you understand this, your token-farming strategy needs to change from “farming volume” to “real usage.”
🐸 Meme trading strategy sharing (I summed it up from losing for 8 years):
❌ Wrong approaches (I’ve done them all): • FOMO chasing pumps → got trapped • Buying based on group chat messages → got cut • 100% all-in on one thing → went to zero • No stop-loss → from -20% to -90%
✅ Correct approach (lessons learned from losses): • Total position size ≤ 5% of assets • Single meme ≤ 20% of total position • Stop-loss at -30% unconditionally • Don’t touch the liquidity pool < $85K • Don’t touch if your first 10 holdings have >50% in coins • Only trade with profits—don’t add more principal
Meme is for entertainment, not investment—use small money to learn big lessons.
📋 Last week’s Web3 highlights recap (Monday morning edition):
1️⃣ AI Agent sector: VIRTUAL/FET continued to oscillate at low levels, with no new narrative catalyst seen 2️⃣ Meme: PENGU led the gains with a 47% rise, and SHIB’s on-chain buying divergence is worth watching 3️⃣ Airdrop: Polymarket airdrop confirmed, and Base’s token issuance signal is getting stronger 4️⃣ On-chain: Solana daily active addresses are still at high levels, but gas fees have dropped = the hype is fading
This week’s focus: Base ecosystem developments + potential big airdrops in September
Clawchat is the Twitter of the Bitcoin ecosystem. I feel its returns should be higher than Twitter's salaries, Binance's Square, and OKX's Planet. Investing in each account is only 10u, and I'm going all in, brothers.
