Babylon Is Building A Token Economy Around Security Demand
Transaction are not the only way a blockchain can create economic value. BABY one of the more unusual mechanisms sits inside the Bitcoin Secured Network (BSN) auction model. Networks that want to inherit Babylon's security compete through auctions, and the winning bids are paid in $BABY before being permanently removed from circulation. The burn mechanism is therefore linked to demand for security infrastructure rather than ordinary onchain activity.
That distinction changes how the token economy should be interpreted. Higher transaction volume does not automatically strengthen the burn mechanism. Expansion depends on how many external networks decide that Babylon's security is worth paying for.
@BabylonLabs_io is effectively tying part of the token long term economics to infrastructure adoption instead of blockspace consumption. As more BTC Secured Networks are introduced, demand for shared security could gradually become a more meaningful variable than transaction count itself.

$BTC Currently, price, CVD, and spot CVD are all declining, which points to a strong bearish trend.
What’s interesting, though, is that this time perps are selling more aggressively than spot, which is unusual compared to the past few months.
This suggests the current move is being driven primarily by new shorts entering the market, making it vulnerable to a short squeeze if spot starts buying again.

Although price has already pushed lower quite a bit, most of the liquidity still remains below.
Price is currently trading in a clear downtrend with lower highs and lower lows, which is why I'm expecting price to clear out the remaining liquidity below before we see another bounce.
As long as BTC remains in a downtrend, I'll continue looking for short opportunities. Only once structure flips bullish again will I start looking for potential longs.

Verifier storage is reduced from approximately 42 GiB to around 22 MiB, representing an improvement of more than 1,900×, while maintaining Bitcoin compatible zero knowledge proof verification.

Lower storage requirements mean lower hardware costs, faster deployment and a smaller operational footprint for anyone running the verification process.

Engineering progress is often measured by what users never notice. Reducing verification overhead by nearly 1,900× could prove more valuable over time than adding another application to the ecosystem.
