$AXIS Those two months of bot tasks weren’t for nothing, though doing them made me want to chop off my hands. I farmed around 3,000 tokens from the airdrop, but I can’t claim them until 8. Hope they sell for a good price.
$ETH 1500 I didn't dare buy the dip on Ethereum. Looking back, I still kick myself for it. A simple question: with a 1:1 risk-reward ratio, will it rise by 1,500 USDT to 3,000 first, or fall by 1,500 USDT to zero?

1. I open the trading screen in a rage right at market open, only to find that the U.S. stock market is closed today.
2. I wait for the market to open at 21:30 (22:30), then realize we’ve switched to winter (summer) time and it opens at 22:30 (21:30) today. Happens twice a year.
3. I search for $SOXL , but end up typing SOLX.
4. I open a perpetual contract, then realize I opened a delivery contract instead.
5. I transfer coins to a USDT-margined contract account and then can’t find them.
Long ago, there was a city-state shrouded in thick fog all year round. The people here had never seen the sun, yet for generations they had believed that whoever found it would gain endless riches. One day, a young man arrived in the city-state. He claimed to have once reached the end of the world and seen the sun with his own eyes. He showed the people a series of golden paintings depicting magnificent palaces, mountains of gold, and himself standing beneath the sun. No one knew where those paintings came from. But people longed for the sun too much. And so, the young man became a prophet.
How Can You Tell If a Bottle of Romanée-Conti Is Genuine? I knew crypto had Pixiu scams, but I never expected wine to have shitcoin scams too.
A bottle of top-tier Romanée-Conti can sell for hundreds of thousands of yuan—or even more. Its staggering price has also made it one of the favorite targets of wine counterfeiters. And precisely because it’s so expensive, there’s never a shortage of fakes on the market. Interestingly, many fakes look more polished than the real thing. The labels are printed flawlessly, the bottle necks are sealed tightly, and even the bottle numbers are made to look perfectly convincing. So how can an ordinary person with little knowledge of wine tell whether it’s genuine? The image above shows a set of genuine and counterfeit bottles of Romanée-Conti, posted by wine authentication expert Maureen Downey. Both bottles say 1990 and look almost identical, yet one is fake. The original image was an authentication challenge and didn’t reveal the answer outright.
Why I’m increasingly losing interest in constantly rotating my positions.
There really is no end to the hot trends in crypto.
Privacy coins are booming today, with $ZEC and $XMR surging. Tomorrow, RWA becomes the market’s main narrative, and $ONDO starts moving. The day after that, Perp DEXs are back in the spotlight, with $HYPE and $ASTER putting on a show. A couple of days later, funds might be off chasing AI again.
Every day I open my market app, a few coins are soaring—and somehow, they’re never the ones I own. Watching other people make money makes me like my own positions less and less. I had a whole thesis when I bought in, but after a few days of sideways action, I start doubting everything and can’t resist selling to chase the latest trend. Then the coin I just sold starts catching up, while the one I just bought pulls back. I can’t let it go, so I switch again. After half a month of all that, I’ve chased plenty of trends and paid plenty in fees, while my account balance has only gotten smaller. Looking back, some of the coins I held the whole time may have earned more than all that effort over half a month.
Of course, if a coin is garbage, you should still cut your losses. Blindly holding on isn’t a skill, either. It’s just that lately, I’ve increasingly felt the market creates the illusion every day that you have to keep trading to catch opportunities.
But trading frequency and trading ability really aren’t necessarily related. Sometimes the biggest step forward is finally learning to do nothing at all.
I’ve noticed a particularly weird pattern in crypto.
A coin can trade sideways for six months, and people will find a hundred things wrong with it: the team is incompetent, the tokenomics are garbage, unlocks are looming, and the project team does nothing but make empty promises. Then one day, it suddenly pumps 50%, and sentiment changes overnight.
It’s still the same team, the unlock schedule hasn’t changed, and the product hasn’t been updated. A project that was called a shitcoin just yesterday is suddenly a “seriously undervalued, high-quality asset.” This kind of thing is incredibly common in crypto. When $ARB isn’t going up, people complain nonstop that L2s are leeching value, Gas revenue is falling, and value capture is inadequate. But as soon as it starts leading the rally, they’re talking all over again about its ecosystem moat, institutional adoption, and role as a global settlement layer. When $SOL is falling, its history of outages and centralization issues get dragged through the mud for months. But when it goes up, it becomes a high-performance public blockchain and an entry point for on-chain consumer activity. $ONDO is the same. When it trades sideways, people complain that its token has no value capture and faces heavy unlock pressure. Then the market picks up, and the stories about Wall Street moving on-chain and the trillion-dollar RWA market start up again. Of course, the fundamentals of these projects really can change, and positive developments may be genuine. But I increasingly feel that many people in crypto have their research process backwards. The price goes up first; the rationale comes later. When prices rise, every flaw can be explained away as a strength. When they fall, even strengths can be spun as risks. The most interesting thing is that everyone thinks they discovered value by researching the fundamentals. In reality, a lot of the time, we’re just looking for reasons to justify our own holdings. The market never lacks analysts. What it lacks are people willing to speak plainly before prices go up.
What is capital chasing this time around? Just look at the 1-hour gainers: · $CFX +4.37% · $US +3.52% · $RLC +2.98% · STRK +2.94% · MANTA +2.33% $CFX +4.37% is in first place, showing that capital is clearly clustering around the top assets. How do you usually respond to this kind of situation?
