We've started exploring a new endeavor with Reality Metaverse, a platform focused on building immersive virtual worlds and gaming experiences.
Currently, we're looking into ways Reality Metaverse can utilize Golem Base's Data Availability Layer to manage and store in-game assets featuring frequently-changing metadata.
A joint working group has been established to discuss integration options and technical planning.
We'll share more detailed updates as the cooperation develops.

Golem Base is a Layer 2 Network deployed on Ethereum, acting as a gateway to various Layer 3 DataBase Chains (DB-Chains).
Built as an open, trustless, permissionless, and serverless platform, Golem Base is designed to enable cost-efficient data management within Web3 while maintaining the familiar Web2 database interaction standards, such as query languages.
š¹ Extendable Data Availability Layer š¹ Aligned with Ethereum Ecosystem š¹ Composable, Versatile & User-controlled

š This document summarizes the changes within the project, including past preparations and resulting milestones.
Specifically, over the last several months, weāve been busy planning, recruiting, and reorganizing.
š„ However, the most important goal of this plan is to sketch our vision for the future. Key areas outlined in this plan are:
š GOLEM NETWORK - Development and documentation needed for smooth integration with the new Marketplace. Weāll have to stay a bit quiet until March 14 for the official publication of the Litepaper.
š GOLEM MARKETPLACE - This area includes the development of Golem's new Marketplace and associated tools (e.g., Marketplace Browser), which we plan to release at the turn of Q2/Q3.
š ECOSYSTEM - Update on the Golem Ecosystem Fund and plans to expand ecosystem development.
š¹ We want to hear from you! If you have any thoughts or questions about the roadmap, letās discuss - your insights matter. š”
2024 has been a big one for AI, GPUs, and DePIN. Itās a clear sign of the massive untapped computing power out there, just waiting to be put to use. š
⨠But hereās the kicker: DePIN has the potential to change the way we access and use advanced computing, making it available to more people, in more places, than ever before.
At Golem, weāre not just dreaming about this future, weāre doing! Through the Golem Ecosystem Fund, weāre supporting projects that are building the foundation for a decentralized future. š
š” Looking ahead to 2025, weād love to hear from you:
š Whatās your biggest hope for DePIN in 2025? š What innovations do you think will take it to the next level?
š” Ever needed to enable internet access for your Golem tasks but found the process too complex? Weāve heard you.
Introducing the Outbound Networking Partner scheme in yapapi and dapp-runner, paired with the new Golem Cert Companion tool.
Hereās how it works: 1ļøā£ Specify the domains your task needs to access or choose unrestricted access. 2ļøā£ Use Golem Cert Companion to create certificates that sign your requirements so providers can verify requests come from you. 3ļøā£ Share the certificate with providers, who can import it to trust your requests. 4ļøā£Once imported, your tasks will automatically run on these providers if matched. Tasks wonāt start on providers without your certificate being trusted.
This update simplifies the process without skimping on security.
Weāre eager to hear your thoughts and have plans to make certificate distribution even easier in the future.
Golem Network is sharing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to improve decentralized computing by tackling specific challenges.
Here is our first RFP:
Research for Golem Provider Support on Windows Platform
We want to explore how Golem can expand provider support to Windows, leveraging GPUs and CPUs from more individuals (like ie. gamers) and professionals.
This research aims to:
- Find secure ways to keep tasks separated on Windows, similar to how Linux uses KVM. - Investigate technologies like Hyper-V, WSL2, or Docker for Windows. - Develop a plan to add Windows support to Golem.
If you're interested in participating in, check details of our RFP ā”ļø
How Do RFPs Connect Innovators with Opportunities?
š” Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are a gateway for innovators to leverage their skills and tackle targeted challenges. They are structured problem statements or tasks issued by organizations or initiatives, inviting talented individuals or teams to propose solutions.
How It Works: 1ļøā£ Identify a Task Explore a curated list of tasks addressing real-world challenges or advancing specific goals. 2ļøā£ Submit Your Proposal Pitch your solution, showcase your expertise, and outline your approach to solving the task. 3ļøā£ Secure Funding If your proposal is selected, youāll receive funding and resources to execute your solution. 4ļøā£ Make an Impact Contribute to innovation, gain recognition, and earn rewards for your efforts.
What You Gain: Opportunities to Shine š«, Access to Resources š°, Expand Your Network š¤, Build Your Portfolio š¼.
š The Golem Ecosystem Fund (#GEF) offers RFPs designed to expand the capabilities of the decentralized computing. With 40,000 ETH dedicated to growth, GEF provides a unique opportunity to address meaningful challenges and shape the future of decentralized technology.
Imagine managing your digital life without relying on third-party clouds.
š Clan is an open-source tool supported by the Golem Ecosystem Fund, designed to put you in control of your devices and services.
It simplifies the creation of private networks and the secure use of software across multiple machines, whether for personal or professional use.
With Clan, you will be able to:
1ļøā£ Set up, secure, and maintain your technology all from one place effortlessly. 2ļøā£ Avoid dependence on cloud providers, which will ensure your data remains private and secure. 3ļøā£ Allow families, teams, and organizations to easily organize and control their private infrastructure.
Whether it's safeguarding family memories, managing servers, or running essential services, Clan embodies Golem's values of decentralization, privacy, and user independence.
We're enthusiastic about the potential to leverage Clan for our own needs in the future, advancing our commitment to open and independent infrastructure.
š” What if anyone, anywhere, could help build the software of the future?
That's what open source is all about!
Open source is a way for to work together, share , and create the best results through š¤.
Golem is part of this movement.
It connects the power of open source with decentralized computing, allowing anyone to join in and build on top of it.
We want to keep supporting projects that share these values, and that's why we have the Golem Ecosystem Fund š±.
If you're working on an open source project in the topic of decentralization, the Golem Ecosystem Fund could be exactly what you need to bring your ideas to life š.
Let's see if we can help make your vision a reality! š
We are backing builders of decentralized solutions and supporting projects that can benefit from Golem technology. This includes areas such as AI , data analysis, 3D rendering, scientific simulations, cryptographic research, dApps, and anything that strengthens Golem or Ethereum š.
