Ethrex is already a minimalist Ethereum client, vertically integrated with many of its dependencies and capable of launching either a ZK based or centralized L2.

We currently sustain performance of around 500 megagas and are actively working to reach and maintain over 1 gigagas. Parallelization of the EVM and the merkelization are both in progress.

Despite its size, Ethrex supports every feature available in the market with significantly fewer lines of code. Everything has been built within a year, with real development starting only at the end of last year. The codebase currently stands at 65k lines, but we expect to reduce that as we hit sustainable 1 gigagas throughput.

We’re also working on a small book to document everything we’ve built and learned.

Crypto in Argentina is a joke. The industry believes crypto equals exchanges. Most people used exchanges and “crypto” to buy stablecoins when it was not possible to do so in banks. Now that it’s possible to buy dollars the country just legalized RWA for a year but the amazing part is that the tokenized assets can’t leave the exchange.

Part of the big cultural issue Ethereum has is that nobody owns the decisions that are made. It’s was similar in the previous meta of SF tech startups. If you are gonna do something, have the courage to do it and say why you want to do it. Defend your decisions.

Out of curiosity the @ethereum clients are taking into account the commit to the trie when they publish the benchmark numbers? We are reviewing some of the code and it’s not clear if this is the case and we believe it should be. Maybe I’m wrong, I need to read more code.

Am one of the few that remains skeptic of Saylor strategy? I am happy that he is pushing Bitcoin up but I am not a huge believer in strategies where everybody tells you that things will go up forever.

I think the probability of Bitcoin and global debt going down is small but if this happens there could be scenarios where this would end badly. Am I wrong?
