At the time of the initial launch of Yield Guild Games, this site appeared as a risky yet straightforward concept: a world-wide gaming guild capable of organizing gameplayers and aggregating in-game property and connecting individuals to Web3 earnings. That narrative was ideal in the era of play-to-earn. However, even as the markets cooled down and unsustainable models failed, YGG continued to go in that other direction. It was not always in the conventional meaning of a guild.
