Oblivious to the world, the news, politics or war.
Just code. Tik Tik tiking away. Governed by math and a strong distributed system. Incentivized by issuing Bitcoin in exchange for provably burned energy by miners — in exchange the miners verify what is true.
Bitcoin is certainty in an uncertain world.
A far fetched idea that is some how better than anything else anyone has come up with - certainly better than fiat printed from thin air.

If Bitcoin was global money there would be far less war because the tyrants and war mongers would have no way to pay for it other than by getting people to contribute.
At the NPC protest yesterday I missed getting a couple good things on camera:
Best of all, there was an anti Bitcoin sign with Trump’s photo — I tried to speak with them but of course it went nowhere. They said Bitcoin is a scam backed by nothing.
Of all the people who couldn’t explain their signs, I wished the most that this one would have spoken. I felt bad that they wouldn’t engage but the silver lining is is that some of the dumbest, most vile people in America have missed out on the best performing asset in their lifetimes.
The Bitcoin code never heard of Elon Musk or Donald Trump. The code never heard of the United States, it doesn’t know what a country is. The Bitcoin code does not know what a dollar is or a Euro or of the concept of currency. Bitcoin doesn’t know the news. Bitcoin is not aware of its price performance. It’s just code.
Just a block every 10 minutes on a schedule that was designed a over decade and a half ago. No humans or opinions who matter.
Time to replace toxic Bitcoin maximalism with non-toxic Bitcoin monetary maximalism.
Who wants to be toxic? Being toxic isn’t cool. Make friends and educate. Call out actual scams. Call out bad economics and educate people on why. Support free fair and open source projects.
I’m endlessly grateful for the many people who come up to me at events like Bitcoin Vegas and tell me that they appreciate my words and my work. It’s amazing and wonderful to have an impact on strangers. Freedom is popular. Thanks to the fighters and the fans. I love you! ❤️
It was an emotional moment to see him and his wonderful mom Lyn who I’ve known for years. Lyn tirelessly attended Bitcoin & liberty events spreading the word on Ross’s case.

I’m sorry I didn’t try harder to sell you on it earlier. It’s better money. The world is changing. It’s not too late. Dump the melting ice cube of phony fiat money and buy Bitcoin.
It’s a really crazy idea. But it’s all we’ve got. It’s not as crazy as people sitting in fancy offices paid for with money they stole from you and deciding “money” is something they can print from thin air to fund cronies and war. That’s not money. That’s trash.
Bitcoin is governed not by the whims of politicians but by the laws of math and code. The world is figuring this out. There are only so many Bitcoin to go around. A limited supply asset. In a world of unlimited printed money.
What do you think is going to happen? You need exposure to this asset imho.
BREAKING: New Hampshire man kicked out of all the casinos on the strip last night for going to all the tourists at the slots, telling everyone that they were wasting their money and should stack sats instead. Was heard was shouting “Fiat is a melting ice cube. Wake up sheeple!”
New Hampshire is one of the greatest places on earth. Great standard of living. Peaceful. Beautiful. Family friendly. Four seasons. Nice people. No state income tax. No sales tax. Low government intervention. Firearms rights. Free staters. Bitcoin.
A stable, boring and secure limited supply digital decoration that goes up in value that you can peal off from to convert to fiat for lambos is nice. I’m happy. I love it. It’s changed my life for the better.
But I got in to Bitcoin not for this but to change the world. To replace the evil fiat system and all it’s related destruction. I got in to this for a new form of money, for peer to peer cash free from the constraints and controls of centralized powers. I came for cypherpunk values where code and privacy rule over the whims of humans. I got in to this for a money system that can’t be printed from thin air by politicians and given to cronies for war, graft and violence.
If we don’t use Bitcoin as money and it doesn’t replace the broken fiat system but is simply a store of value, held in custody by the same parties who controlled the old system, subject to the same surveillance and seizures, then we would have squandered the greatest opportunity of a generation to break free from the old system and build a new one. In my old age I don’t want to look at a dying dystopian fiat world from my castle window. I want to see a vibrant more peaceful and free world that I helped bring about by using sound money.
I did more Bitcoin transactions in 2015 than the last 5 years combined.
I do almost none now.
The Shake Shack announcement is great but we’ve had literally thousands of announcements & stores accept Bitcoin, have it fail and then discontinue it.
