New Hampshire is one of the greatest places on earth. Great standard of living. Peaceful. Beautiful. Family friendly. Four seasons. Nice people. No state income tax. No sales tax. Low government intervention. Firearms rights. Free staters. Bitcoin.
A stable, boring and secure limited supply digital decoration that goes up in value that you can peal off from to convert to fiat for lambos is nice. I’m happy. I love it. It’s changed my life for the better.
But I got in to Bitcoin not for this but to change the world. To replace the evil fiat system and all it’s related destruction. I got in to this for a new form of money, for peer to peer cash free from the constraints and controls of centralized powers. I came for cypherpunk values where code and privacy rule over the whims of humans. I got in to this for a money system that can’t be printed from thin air by politicians and given to cronies for war, graft and violence.
If we don’t use Bitcoin as money and it doesn’t replace the broken fiat system but is simply a store of value, held in custody by the same parties who controlled the old system, subject to the same surveillance and seizures, then we would have squandered the greatest opportunity of a generation to break free from the old system and build a new one. In my old age I don’t want to look at a dying dystopian fiat world from my castle window. I want to see a vibrant more peaceful and free world that I helped bring about by using sound money.
I did more Bitcoin transactions in 2015 than the last 5 years combined.
I do almost none now.
The Shake Shack announcement is great but we’ve had literally thousands of announcements & stores accept Bitcoin, have it fail and then discontinue it.

I give financial advice & broke people say I’m wrong:
“Pay off my credit card? Easy for rich capitalists maybe” “Screw you, I can’t afford to contribute to my 401k” “Sure I lose in Vegas but I have fun so it’s worth it” “Stocks are a scam” “Bitcoin? Whatever LOLbertarian”
