That distinction matters. Locking tokens can show confidence, but confidence alone doesn't prove lasting demand. Actual usage is harder to fake over time. People need a reason to return, not just an incentive to arrive.
What interests me about $NIL is whether these pieces can reinforce each other without relying too heavily on token rewards. If they can, participation could become more than a short-term trade. But will users keep coming back because the network is genuinely useful, even when the rewards become less attractive?
