Recently I’ve been studying DeFi, and I noticed my order of researching projects has changed.
Before, when I looked into a project, my first thing to check was:
How much money this protocol is making right now?
Now I prefer to ask first:
In the next three years, why will it still be able to keep growing?
To me, a project truly worth following long-term needs to meet at least three conditions:
✅ There is real demand—not just a short-term hype.
✅ Revenue can keep growing, not just spike once.
✅ The token can genuinely capture the value created by the protocol.
Revenue determines today’s value,
and growth determines the upside in the future.
I’m increasingly convinced that:
Researching a project is essentially about studying how much value it can still create in the future—not how much money it makes today.
