$GPS This time, after 6 hours on the trending list in Shanghai-Guangzhou, I don’t really want to follow the “small-cap rebound after lagging” narrative to look at it. This GoPlus line feels more like: the market suddenly remembers again that on-chain security isn’t background noise—it’s the data layer that gets pulled out every time something happens.

On Binance, the order book didn’t give much respect either. The GPSUSDT spot is around 0.00943, and in the past 24h it’s still slightly down about 1%. Perpetual turnover is roughly 1.85 million U, with a funding rate around 0.005%. The price is hovering just below the 1H MA20 at 0.00949. There’s some heat, but the bids haven’t fully caught it.

The news flow, on the other hand, is quite specific. GoPlus Security flagged Summer.fi as being manipulated via flash loans about 7 hours ago, estimating profits of around $6 million for the attacker. Then about 12 hours ago, it dissected that extreme back-run arbitrage: 1126 ETH were used, ending up with only 5776 LIT received. Further back, GoPlus’s June Web3/AI security data report also puts the high frequency of security incidents front and center.

My take: the narrative behind $GPS isn’t “suddenly stronger today,” but rather that infrastructure like security data/risk alerts is becoming more and more noticeable amid high-frequency incidents. But for the short term, don’t treat the trending headline as a buying point. Wait to see if it can reclaim the 0.00949–0.00955 range, and then check whether there’s capital acknowledgment. If it breaks down below about 0.00930, then basically the heat has come but the price hasn’t been caught.
