The bear market for altcoins has indeed lasted long enough, starting from March last year, mainstream altcoins have been falling for almost two years.
This is very similar to the bear market of 2018-2019, when BTC dropped from 20,000 to over 3,000, but many altcoins fell even harder, with some going to zero. Looking at the ETH/BTC exchange rate and the SOL/BTC exchange rate now, they are still oscillating at relatively low levels.
The logic for altcoins is PVP, not value investment. What does two years of a bear market mean? Some projects could be in a bear market for a lifetime, which is not surprising. The market doesn't owe anyone money; let the worthless projects die.
However, that being said, at this stage, the quality of surviving projects is generally better than those worthless coins at the end of the last bull market. The bear market is the best filter, sifting out what is truly valuable.
I believe patience is more important than anything else, after all, the market won't be bear forever.
