Another point is that big brands have much better quality control, and down jackets still have higher quality requirements. But now, these big brands are also slashing prices significantly. For example, various down jackets on Vipshop have been selling explosively recently, with an overall increase of over 30%, mainly for big brands like Bosideng, Duck Duck, and Anta. The reason is simple, Bosideng can even offer discounts of 40-50%.
Third, down jackets are still subject to the weather, and if it doesn't get cold, they are hard to sell. Because of the high unit price, many people do not prepare down jackets at home in advance. But as soon as the weather gets colder, sales immediately pick up.
Recently, regions including Gansu, Sichuan, and even Guangdong have welcomed a wave of strong cold air, and down jackets and thermal clothing have seen good sales. But there is a very obvious trend; when people buy professional clothing like down jackets, they want both big brands and cost-effectiveness, which has become a new consumer mentality.
