The FDIC plans to release the first draft of the GENIUS Act's stablecoin issuance regulatory framework this month.
According to reports, Travis Hill, the acting chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), stated at a congressional hearing that the FDIC intends to publish the first draft of the federal regulatory application process for stablecoin issuance, named the implementation draft of the GENIUS Act, within this month. Additionally, Hill mentioned that the FDIC is developing regulatory guidelines regarding tokenized deposits.
