Company #Anysphere Inc, which created an artificial intelligence-based tool for programming automation called Cursor, raised $2.3 billion. As a result of the funding round, the coding tool developer was valued at $29.3 billion, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The leaders in financial contributions were the Accel and Coatue funds, with participation from Thrive Capital and DST Global. According to Anysphere's CEO Michael Truell, companies #Google and #Nvidia were also invited to participate "to deepen strategic partnerships".

For the tech giant, this was the largest funding round in the company's history, founded in 2022.

The startup is developing an AI environment that analyzes the actions of a programmer and suggests the next lines of code. The tool also includes a chatbot that answers programming questions. The platform's interface is built on the Visual Studio Code from corporation #Microsoft .
