Gas abstraction allows for whitelisted token settlements, and more common pure stablecoin transfers can even be done without fees, bringing the wallet experience back to an intuitive path: input amount, click send, arrive.

The native token XPL has not disappeared; it is placed on the security layer. Validators stake it, account for it, and earn rewards; complex contracts and financial applications use it as a resource for pricing. In other words, the user-side lightness comes from the protocol-side focus on security and coordination.

Ecological connections are equally pragmatic.
