The world has been chaotic recently, like a makeshift troupe.
My wife, who only knows about scrolling short videos and watching variety shows, suddenly asked me, is there still fighting happening in the world? I can really see from her eyes that she thinks the world should be a place where doors are left unlocked at night, under a clear sky.
I tried to tell her like a news anchor that the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the hell in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Myanmar, and Syria are all experiencing civil wars, the terror activities in the Sahel region, tribal conflicts in Congo, and many hotspots where conflicts might escalate.
But to be honest, I couldn't explain it in detail like a scripture, and she definitely wouldn't have the patience to listen. I could only tell her that yes, the world is not completely at peace, it's just that you have experienced very little of it.
She looked at me and said, oh, as if you have experienced more.
I was speechless. Yes, I haven't experienced war either. Most of us feel a world of peace, under a clear sky, yet I can't help but think, how can we people living in peace empathize with those hiding in basements from war? Every day I think I'm busy in the crypto world, but it's just for a few coins; the crypto world seems to exist outside of reality, happening vividly, yet only creating limited impact within a limited circle. For a moment, I felt a saintly mindset take over, suddenly wondering how I could contribute something to the world. The wildly popular #giggle is doing charity, and its advocate and big brother are already trying to create a positive push from the crypto world to the real world. Meanwhile, the #世界和平 third CTO community, which I am fortunate to participate in, is still in its infancy. We must double our efforts to make this vision come true, let more insightful people see it, allow the crypto world to promote this great cause, and let each participant step out of the circle, so that people outside the circle can say, these guys who just speculate on coins can actually get things done!
