🔍 The arrest of Shark Bình
On October 14, 2025, the Hanoi City police announced the indictment and temporary detention of Mr. Nguyễn Hòa Bình (also known as Shark Bình), Chairman of NextTech Group, on charges of fraud and misappropriation of property related to the cryptocurrency project AntEx.
In the days prior, authorities had carried out the seizure of documents and inspected the NextTech headquarters at 18 Tam Trinh, Hanoi.
There was a complaint from an investor, stating that they invested in AntEx (about 2,000 USD) and lost all of this money.
💸 The AntEx project – From 'prominence' to collapse
AntEx launched in September 2021, promoted as a comprehensive DeFi ecosystem, with the construction of the stablecoin 'VNDT' pegged to the Vietnamese dong.
Shark Bình was introduced in the project as a 'strategic advisor' and previously announced an investment of 2.5 million USD in the project through the Next100Blockchain fund.
However, after the ANTEX token was listed, the price plummeted — losing 99% of its value compared to the peak.
The project nearly ceased operations, and by March 2023, it was renamed Rabbit (RAB), converting at a rate of 1,000 ANTEX = 1 RAB. But RAB also quickly lost value, almost becoming worthless.
Recently, there have been reports that the AntEx technical team accused Shark Bình of 'directing liquidity withdrawal', causing the project to collapse and investors to lose money.
On the contrary, Shark Bình once asserted that he was also a victim, having lost an investment of 2.5 million USD and facing a bad reputation.
