Ukrainians spent nearly $900 million on bitcoin purchases over the year
From July 2023 to July 2024, Ukraine received cryptocurrency worth $106 billion, while spending on bitcoin purchases amounted to $882 million, according to a report by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The main increase in activity was driven by institutional and professional transactions.
As a reminder, according to Chainalysis, Ukraine ranks first in the world in terms of crypto activity per capita and eighth in the overall ranking.
