So I've invested in $HEMI and it's a risky move. But #HEMI is not just another ordinary token.

๐ HEMI is currently issued as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain (since Binance launched and airdropped it).
If the project succeeds and rolls out its own modular Layer-2 chain, HEMI could later become the native coin of that network โ but for now, itโs just a token.
๐ So today: HEMI = token.
Future: could migrate into a coin if their Layer-2 goes live.
๐ How Migration Happens
Project launches mainnet (its own blockchain).
Right now HEMI runs as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain.
When their Layer-2 mainnet goes live, theyโll want HEMI as the native coin of that network.
Token swap (bridge or exchange).
Holders of BEP-20 HEMI will swap 1:1 (or sometimes with a ratio) for the new native coin.
Exchanges like Binance usually handle this automatically.
Old token loses relevance.
Once swap period ends, the BEP-20 version is no longer supported.
๐ Effect on Price
Positive Catalysts
Market often pumps during migration โ narrative of โweโre launching our own chainโ excites traders.
Native coins usually get more utility (gas fees, staking, governance), which can support higher valuations.
Example: Polygon (MATIC) when expanding beyond token โ infrastructure play.
Risks
Technical delays: If the mainnet is late or buggy, price dumps.
Inflation: If the migration introduces more supply, price could weaken.
Adoption gap: If devs donโt build on the new chain, coin becomes โjust another ghost chain.โ
โ๏ธ For HEMI Specifically
If migration succeeds โ price could re-rate higher (investors value it as a coin powering an L2 ecosystem instead of โjust a tokenโ).
If migration fails/delays โ price may stagnate or fall further.
๐ In short:
Token โ Coin migration is usually bullish short-term, but long-term impact depends on real adoption of the new chain.
