- Hackers stole over 192,000 SOL from a partner of SwissBorg.
- The incident affected less than 1% of users and did not impact the application.
- The platform promises to compensate for the losses and has already begun recovery.
On September 8, 2025, the Swiss cryptocurrency trading platform SwissBorg experienced a security incident in the Solana ecosystem. Hackers withdrew approximately 192,600 SOL (about $41.5 million). This was stated by on-chain researcher ZachXBT.
SwissBorg explained that the breach occurred due to a third-party partner, specifically regarding a vulnerability in the API of the company Kiln. As a result of the attack, less than 1% of users were affected, and the total amount of losses amounted to about 2% of the platform's assets. Representatives of SwissBorg emphasized: the application itself was not harmed, and the rest of the user funds and Earn strategies remain fully secure.
After the attack was detected, the SwissBorg team enlisted so-called white hats (ethical hackers) and cybersecurity partners, began cooperation with law enforcement agencies, and also promised to cover all user losses.
SwissBorg also allocated its own Solana reserves for partial compensation of the losses.
The company emphasized that user protection remains the main priority. Balances remain untouched, and SwissBorg guarantees no losses for affected users, as stated in the announcement.
