Christian Catalini, Libra’s co-creator, isn’t convinced. He says projects like Tempo risk repeating the same mistakes: ✅ fast payments, ✅ stablecoins at the center… but ❌ true decentralization gets left behind.
Instead of breaking free from banks, Catalini warns they might just swap old bosses for new ones (fintech giants like Stripe, Visa, and Circle 👑). His words sting: “The throne will have new occupants, but it will be the same throne.”
