The WalletConnect Network is transitioning to a more decentralized, community-driven model. The WCT token is central to this shift, as it gives the community a voice in the network's administration. The WalletConnect Foundation initially oversees the project, but plans include shifting control to a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) governed by WCT holders.
