📢 Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that India has now offered zero tariffs, reversing years of what he called a “one-sided” trade relationship.
💬 “India kills us with tariffs,” he said during a radio interview. “They’ve now offered me no tariffs. But it’s getting late.”
🧠 Trump added, “I understand tariffs better than any human being in the world… And with my tariffs, countries were dropping them.”
🌍 Trump criticized multiple nations including:

🇧🇷 Brazil
🇮🇳 India
...stating they had unfair tariffs against the U.S.
📉 He noted that without imposing tariffs, countries would never have offered fairer trade terms.
🧑⚖️ On recent U.S. court rulings deeming many of his tariffs illegal, Trump alleged these lawsuits were “sponsored by other countries” trying to exploit the U.S.
🏛️ Speaking later at the White House, Trump acknowledged good relations with India, but said the U.S. was treated unfairly in past years:
🗨️ “India was charging us some of the highest tariffs in the world,” he said, calling the relationship “very one-sided” before his presidency.
🏍️ As an example, Trump cited Harley Davidson, saying India had imposed 200% import duties, which forced the company to set up local manufacturing to avoid tariffs.
⚖️ Trump insisted: “We weren’t charging them, but they were pouring products into our country. That’s changing.”
