Ukraine is taking another step in the digitization of public services: on September 1, 2025, the Diia portal launched Diia.AI — the world's first state AI agent. This innovative tool not only answers questions but also directly provides services in the chat, revolutionizing the interaction between citizens and the state. According to the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine is becoming a pioneer in the use of AI for public services.
Diia.AI already allows you to receive a certificate of income: just write "I need a certificate of income," and the document will appear in your personal account. Soon, the agent will integrate five more services, including registration of individual entrepreneurs or consultations on the "Baby Package." In addition, the AI explains the portal’s services — for example, how to apply for compensation for damaged housing through the eRecovery program. If your house was damaged by shelling, Diia.AI will instantly provide instructions and advise how to receive compensation.
This launch is part of Ukraine's digital transformation strategy, which, despite the war, implements advanced technologies. Diia.AI is available on the portal and soon in the mobile app, making bureaucracy simpler and more accessible. This not only saves citizens' time but also increases the efficiency of government agencies. Ukraine demonstrates how AI can serve society in the face of challenges.
The launch of Diia.AI underscores the country's ambitions to become a leader in AI development by 2030, integrating technologies into the economy, defense, and everyday life. It is a tool for the future, where the state is closer to the people.
