I pushed my teacup aside and said slowly:
Step 1: Magnify the cycle.
Treat fluctuations below the daily line as noise. The 4-hour chart is just for drawing structures. The real signals that will allow me to place bets must be on the daily or even weekly charts.
Step 2: Test with a small position.
First, throw a small stone into the water and listen for any response. Wait until the weekly close confirms the direction, then gradually increase your position. Place your stop-loss just outside the weekly low—wide enough so the market can breathe freely and I can sleep soundly.
From opening to closing a position, it takes at least a month.
During this period, I don't watch the market. I only spend three minutes after the market close each day checking my plan to see which phase I'm in: continuation or consolidation. That's all I need to know.
The rest of my time, I go to the gym, write code, and take part-time jobs. People around me only think I'm "investing," but no one knows I actually hold a seven-figure position.
Others can't hold on because they only see floating profits and losses.
I can hold on because I only see trends and life and death.
If the structure isn't broken, the order is essentially nonexistent.
Nine out of ten small stop-loss orders may be in vain, but the tenth will wipe out all the costs, plus a year's worth of living expenses. Big money comes from the market, not from speed.
Afraid of getting nervous? Start with 0.1 lots, then double and increase. With low frequency, leverage will naturally hold up; with high frequency, even the gods can't help. Even the most sophisticated system can't withstand the wear and tear of high frequency.
Three or four waves a year, each 50%, compounded, doubles the value.
There will always be market fluctuations; the cryptocurrency world is inexhaustible.
The key is—don't mistake every fluctuation for an opportunity.
