The foreign ministers of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, and Venezuela, Yván Gil, had a call on the afternoon of this Wednesday (27). On social media, Yván Gil stated that the purpose of the call was to expose to Brazil the "aggressive plans" that Venezuela has been facing and emphasized the presence of the USS Newport News submarine, with nuclear propulsion, in the southern Caribbean. According to the Venezuelan foreign minister, this is a threat "never seen before in the region."
