Today, at the WebX 2025 conference in Tokyo, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said that geopolitical instability is significant, and emerging industries are crucial for economic growth. The Japanese government will optimize the environment to promote the development of emerging industries such as Web3, digital technologies, semiconductors, AI, and space, using investment and regulatory changes to foster their prosperity.

Shigeru Ishiba also mentioned that Japan's declining population is due to the over-concentration of people in Tokyo, leading to a vicious cycle of declining marriage and birth rates. The government now hopes that new technologies such as Web3 can bring vitality to Japanese society, as Web3 contributes to reform, enhances industrial competitiveness, and provides new solutions to societal problems.
