WCT Empowers New Hope Group's Pig Farming Traceability and Industry Chain Coordination
New Hope Group introduces WCT technology in the pig farming sector, establishing a full industry chain traceability system. Starting from piglet breeding, the breed, birth date, and vaccination status of the pigs are recorded; during the farming process, data such as feed source, feeding amount, and environmental temperature and humidity are recorded in real-time on the blockchain; in the transportation phase, vehicle trajectories and transportation temperatures are monitored and stored on the blockchain. When downstream slaughterhouses and meat processing plants purchase pigs, they can query the full process information of the pigs through WCT to ensure the quality of raw materials. In addition, New Hope settles with farmers based on on-chain farming data, providing reasonable prices according to the growth indicators of the pigs, incentivizing farmers to improve farming quality. By 2024, this system will cover 50% of New Hope Group's pig farming bases, leading to a 70% decrease in pork product quality complaint rates, an 18% increase in farmers' income, and a 40% improvement in industry chain coordination efficiency.
