An individual wins the lottery and clinches a major Bitcoin prize: a chance of one in 650,000…

Last Sunday, an individual miner managed to find block #Bitcoin on their own, earning a prize of 3.137 BTC (approximately 350,000 USD). According to experts, the probability of this happening does not exceed one in 650,000.

The miner used the Solo CK Pool service, a private platform for solo mining, achieving one of the most significant individual successes this year.

🔹 Earlier this year, other individual miners achieved similar milestones:

July 4, 2025

July 27, 2025

📉 In the early days of Bitcoin, the number of individual miners was large, but with the increasing difficulty of mining and the entry of large companies, the opportunities for individuals became nearly impossible. However, there are still those who get lucky sometimes.

🗣️ Samuel Lee, the technical director at ASICKey mining hardware company, says:

> "Solo mining today is more like a game of chance. The probability that a user with an average hash rate can find a block within 10 minutes does not exceed one in 650,000."

🔻 It is noteworthy that the last halving of Bitcoin rewards occurred in April 2024, where the prize dropped from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC per block.

With rising energy costs and mining difficulty, some major mining companies have already started renting out their massive resources to artificial intelligence companies.
