The Bitlayer Korea Meetup was a recent technology exchange event held in Seoul, attracting about 200 members of the Bitlayer community from Korea. The atmosphere on site was lively, with deep discussions and exchanges centered around Bitcoin Layer 2 technology. This was not only an opportunity for knowledge sharing but also a platform for community members to communicate face-to-face and establish connections. Core members of the Bitlayer team also participated in person, answering questions and sharing their latest progress in Bitcoin smart contracts and scaling solutions.
The key technical highlights of @BitlayerLabs mainly focus on its innovative Opvm solution and BitVM optimistic verification mechanism. Opvm (Optimistic Virtual Machine) is a smart contract execution environment based on the Bitcoin mainnet, which not only inherits the security of the Bitcoin main chain but also introduces a more efficient way of processing smart contracts. Through this design, Bitlayer can greatly enhance the scalability and programmability of the Bitcoin network while ensuring security.
This meetup coincided with the annual Korean Blockchain Week, which serves as a local industry event rich in atmosphere. Blockchain Week provides a platform for projects like Bitlayer that focus on technological innovation, promoting communication and collaboration among professionals in the region. For participants, such events not only broadened their technical horizons but also strengthened the cohesion of the community.
