ING International: New Zealand Central Bank's Decision Warns of Greater Risk of Aggressive Rate Cuts for the US and UK

Chris Turner of ING stated in a report that the New Zealand Central Bank's policy decision on Wednesday highlights the risks faced by the US dollar and British pound, namely that the magnitude of rate cuts may be larger. The New Zealand Central Bank cut rates by 25 basis points, but two policymakers voted for a 50 basis point cut. The Central Bank indicated that inflation may rise in the short term, but given the slack in the labor market, it should ease next year. Turner pointed out that the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England are also in a predicament, uncertain about how to respond to short-term rising inflation. He noted that the New Zealand Central Bank's decision serves as a reminder that if the labor market weakens significantly, other central banks may also accelerate their pace of rate cuts. #币安广场征文活动 #美联储何时降息?
