🎉 17 Years of Bitcoin.org – The Early Footprint of the Financial Revolution
Did you know? Exactly 17 years ago, on August 18, 2008, the domain Bitcoin.org was officially registered by the mysterious figure Satoshi Nakamoto. This site became the first gateway for the birth of the Bitcoin (BTC) project, which is now known all over the world.
Initially, the appearance of Bitcoin.org was very simple. It was here that Satoshi released Bitcoin software v0.1 in January 2009, when BTC didn't even have a market price. Only a handful of cryptography enthusiasts knew about it at that time.
Interestingly, this site was directly managed by Satoshi along with Martti Malmi. After Satoshi left the project in 2011, control of the domain was handed over for greater openness, and it is now independently managed by the global community.
History also records other important moments:
📄 October 31, 2008 – Bitcoin whitepaper was shared.
⛏️ January 3, 2009 – The first block (genesis block) was mined, producing 50 BTC.
Bitcoin.org is not just a site, but a symbol of the beginning of the decentralization movement that changed the way the world views money. 🚀
What do you think, does the spirit of decentralization that Satoshi built still thrive today?
