🔥President Zelensky responds to conditions for ending the war suggested by President Trump
President Zelensky reaffirmed that there will be no territorial concessions, despite President Trump’s claim that Ukraine could “end the war with Russia almost immediately” if it abandoned its NATO aspirations and gave up reclaiming Crimea.
Zelensky announced that he had arrived in Washington ahead of his meeting with Trump, expressing confidence that the “joint strength” of the U.S. and Europe would force Russia toward a real peace.
Following the US – Russia summit in Alaska on August 15, President Trump invited the Ukrainian leader along with European leaders to the White House. The meeting between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents is scheduled for 12:15 AM (Vietnam time), August 19, followed by a multilateral session with EU leaders.
Last time, the two presidents went at each other hard with words, will things go any smoother this time? 👀
