❌ Mistakes I Made with My First Crypto (and How You Would Avoid Them)
When I entered the crypto world, I jumped in without much experience… and obviously, I crashed into reality. I’ll share my mistakes so you can avoid them:
1️⃣ Buying just because it was “going up”
I saw a coin in the green and thought: “If it has already gone up 10%, it will surely keep going up!”. Spoiler: I bought at the peak and then suffered the drop.
👉 Lesson: never buy out of FOMO, wait for a good entry point.
2️⃣ Not understanding the project
I didn’t even know what the first crypto I bought was for. I was guided by a tweet and that was it.
👉 Lesson: research before putting your money in. If you can’t explain to someone what that crypto does, better not buy it.
3️⃣ Not having an exit strategy
I experienced being at +50% and not selling, waiting for the famous “to the moon”. In the end, I lost all my gains.
👉 Lesson: define before entering how much you want to gain and how much you are willing to lose.
4️⃣ Leaving everything on the exchange
At that time, I didn’t even know what a wallet was. I kept everything on the exchange and lived in fear that something would happen.
👉 Lesson: if you plan to hold long-term, consider a secure wallet.
🔑 Moral: We all make mistakes at the beginning, but the important thing is to learn quickly and not repeat them.
💬 And you, what mistake did you make with your first crypto?
