⚠️ The most expensive mistake I made in futures
Some time ago, I started trading futures thinking I would quickly double my capital... and I ended up losing more than I imagined.
The mistake was simple but lethal:
👉 I used high leverage without a clear strategy.
👉 I believed the market would move "the way I thought."
👉 I didn't set a stop loss because I was convinced it "would turn around."
The result: a liquidation in seconds and a lesson that cost me dearly 💸.
What I understood afterwards is that futures are not a game:
• Leverage multiplies gains, but also losses.
• Poor risk management can get you out of the market in minutes.
• It's better to earn a little but safely than to bet everything and be left out.
Today, if I trade futures, I do it with low leverage, always using stop loss, and risking only a small part of my portfolio.
👉 My advice: if you are a beginner, learn first in spot and with small amounts. Futures are useful, but they can be your worst enemy if you don't master them.
