Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the first and most famous digital currency that appeared in the world, launched by an anonymous person or group of people under the name "Satoshi Nakamoto" in 2009. The idea was to create a decentralized financial system that allows people to exchange money directly over the Internet without the need for banks or any intermediaries.
Bitcoin relies on blockchain technology, a distributed public ledger that accurately and securely records all transactions and is difficult to manipulate. Bitcoin is created through a process called "mining," where miners use powerful computers to solve complex mathematical equations in exchange for new coins.
