I just looked at Coinbase's research report on altcoin season in September.
To be honest, it's quite tough for the research editor. It feels like being pressed by the boss on KPIs: write something optimistic about altcoins.
The logic? It's still the same old talking points:
The SEC has recently become 'crypto-friendly', and with expectations of interest rate cuts in September, funds will flow into altcoins;
BTC's market share has dropped from 65% to 59%, and historical patterns suggest that altcoins are about to take off;
Institutions buying ETH will likely lift other surrounding coins...
These arguments are just pieced together to get by.
Actually, I can understand; Coinbase's earnings report just flopped, so they definitely need to blow some hope into the air. But if we're really talking about research conclusions, it's more about the 'bullish sentiment soup' the boss wants.
