The Shiba Inu team issues a warning about wallet theft.
The Shiba Inu team revealed that scammers have begun to recover expired Discord invitation links and use them to create fake servers. The fraudulent platforms deceive SHIB holders into "verifying" their accounts by connecting their wallets or allowing harmful dApps.
If users connect their wallets, they could lose SHIB tokens and other digital assets. Reports show that attackers can quickly drain entire balances in just a few minutes.
The community watchdog account Shibarium Trustwatch also warned that these scams often appear realistic. They copy the branding and official communication style of SHIB. The team emphasized that the official website of the project (shib.io) should be the source of all authentic Shiba Inu links. They also urged users not to rush to connect their wallet or approve transactions from unverified Discord links.
Concern in the community intensified after a user on X claimed that their Shiba Inu wallet: Deployer 1 had been compromised. The user warned that recent token launches from the address were unauthorized.
Shiba Inu developer, Kaal Dhairya, quickly addressed the issue. He explained that no ecosystem is linked to the hacked wallet. Kaal warned that any future token from this address could be a scam and should be avoided.
