Bithumb's revenue increased by 35% in the first half of the year, while net profit dropped by nearly 50%

According to reports from HashChain, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb achieved an operating revenue of 329.1 billion won in the first half of 2025, representing a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. However, its operating profit was 90.1 billion won, a decrease of 5.7% year-on-year; net profit was 55 billion won, a decrease of 46.5% year-on-year. The company pointed out that the decline in profit was mainly due to increased user welfare expenditures and losses in cryptocurrency asset assessments. The growth in revenue was primarily driven by the rise in prices of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and a recovery in market investment sentiment.
