#MarketGreedRising Search queries for the keywords 'altcoin' and 'Ethereum' on Google have reached multi-year highs. This surge in interest coincided with a wave of applications for altcoin ETFs and changes in corporate treasury management strategies that now extend beyond Bitcoin.

According to Google Trends data, the number of searches for the term 'altcoin' has peaked since 2021, while interest in 'Ethereum' is at a two-year high. The spike in search activity is occurring alongside an increase in cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and a transformation in approaches to managing digital assets, drawing attention not only to Bitcoin.

Google Trends has recorded similar spikes before. In early 2018, interest in 'altcoins' sharply increased a few months after Bitcoin peaked at the end of 2017, when retail investors shifted their attention to new cryptocurrencies launched via initial coin offerings (ICOs).

In early 2021, the term 'altcoin' reached one of its highest values in history during a massive surge driven by the growth of decentralized finance (DeFi) and the popularity of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
