GameSquare has partnered with Animecoin Foundation and Azuki
*According to a 1-year agreement:
- GameSquare will purchase up to 2.5 million USD @animecoin on the open market to expand its crypto reserves, adding an asset with cultural significance and large market growth potential.
- In return, GameSquare @GSQHoldings becomes the agency representing Animecoin Foundation and receives 2.5 million USD worth $ANIME as part of the payment for creative and strategic services.
=> Goal: to increase the influence of Animecoin and strengthen its position in the global gaming community
- Simply put, GameSquare is spending 2.5 million USD to buy ANIME tokens, and they are being paid an additional 2.5 million USD in tokens. Initially, they will have a total of 5 million USD in tokens.
- However, the reserves they announced only show holding 2.5 million USD, so the additional 2.5 million being paid might be sold without notice.
- Furthermore, this ANIME token they are purchasing is to diversify their reserves (GameSquare holds a lot of $ETH), not to issue a new stockpile specifically for the ANIME token, so to me, this doesn't hold much significance.
