Standard Chartered Raises Forecasts, Seeing #Ethereum at $7,500 by Year-End and $25,000 by 2028

Are We on the Verge of an Institutional Growth Supercycle?

Multinational bank Standard Chartered has drastically revised its forecasts for Ethereum (ETH), raising its year-end price target from $4,000 to $7,500, and its end-2028 price target from $7,500 to $25,000.

This optimism is based on a "dramatically improved backdrop" for the world's second-largest crypto asset, driven by a confluence of key factors.

The bank's analysts now forecast that #ETH will surpass its all-time high of $4,866 by the end of the third quarter and continue its impressive climb to $7,500 before the end of the year.

Institutional Capital Flood: According to Geoffrey Kendrick, the firm's head of digital asset research, treasury firms and ETH ETFs have acquired nearly 3.8% of the total Ether supply since the beginning of June. This buying pace is nearly double that seen in Bitcoin by similar buyers.

Corporate Treasury Boom: The report highlights that Ethereum treasury firms alone, such as #Bitmine Immersion and #SharpLink Gaming, have purchased approximately 2.3 million ETH in just two and a half months, equivalent to 1.9% of the supply.

Key Growth Factors: The updated forecast is supported by multiple factors, including aggressive corporate buying, the entry of ETH ETFs, new regulatory clarity for stablecoins in the US, and renewed momentum on Ethereum's technical roadmap.

Outperforming Bitcoin: ETH has demonstrated its strength, rising more than 41% year-to-date, surpassing the 29% increase of #BTC .

Standard Chartered analysts believe this trend of outperformance could continue.
