There is currently euphoria in the world of cryptocurrencies. Analysts and influencers are predicting that
Bitcoin will reach an astonishing $250,000 by 2025. The approval of spot ETFs and
the upcoming halving – all of this sounds like a win-win scenario for a flight to
the Moon. But what if this widespread optimism is exactly what puts your portfolio at risk?

Hidden Risks That Most Ignore

Yes,
institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies and the influx of funds through ETFs is a
landscape-changing reality. However, the market remains extremely volatile, and we
have already seen significant pullbacks. Many forget about factors such as
geopolitical instability, sudden changes in regulation (for example,
ongoing debates on federal cryptocurrency regulation or even the changing position of the administration
Trump regarding the crypto industry), as well as the alarming rise in
stolen funds. In 2025 alone, over
$2.17 billion was stolen from crypto services, with a single hack of ByBit amounting to $1.5 billion.

A question for you: Have you truly diversified your portfolio, or are you betting everything on one,
potentially flawed, widely held idea?

Debunking the Myth of the "Safe Haven": Bitcoin and Security

Many view Bitcoin as a safe haven from inflation. However, its sharp decline in 2022
against the backdrop of stock market volatility has cast doubt on this argument. And,
despite the common myth, Bitcoin is not anonymous; its transparent
blockchain makes transactions traceable. In fact, less than 0.24% of transactions with
Bitcoin in 2022 were associated with illegal activity.

This shift towards transparency and institutional guarantees, such as Binance's partnership with BBVA
for over-the-counter asset storage, fundamentally changes the game.

If you still think of Bitcoin as the "Wild West," you are missing the biggest
shift in its history. Or am I wrong?

The Altcoin Trap and Personal Experience

Everyone is eagerly
waiting for "the most explosive altcoin season in cryptocurrency history." But
liquidity is key, and altcoins often suffer when Bitcoin dominates the
market. My own journey in the crypto industry has taught me that hype can be
a dangerous guide. It is important to understand why certain trends occur, rather than
just what is happening.
