Historic Peace Deal Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

Armenia and Azerbaijan have signed a historic peace agreement at the White House, brokered by the United States. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev agreed to end three decades of hostility, respect each other’s borders, and establish diplomatic relations.

The deal includes a new transit corridor, the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” linking Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan exclave through Armenia. The United States will hold special development rights for this route. Both nations also signed agreements to expand cooperation in trade, energy, technology, and artificial intelligence.

Both leaders thanked President Trump and announced their intention to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize. Analysts say the agreement could mark the start of a new era of peace, economic growth, and diplomatic engagement in the region.
